As a boy, he grew up spending summer afternoons at the firehouse, washing trucks, rolling hose and dreaming of the day when he could join the ranks. His father spent his career as a fire inspector through 28 years of service. After his father retired, they were getting rid of some old fire hoses - and instead of letting them go to the dumpster, Lance decided to experiment with what he could do with them.
