What is The Spotted Door?

The Spotted Door is a curated online store exclusively for products made from recycled + reclaimed materials. We are based in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah. Visit our About Us page to learn more.

What is your return + exchange policy?

We want you to receive a quality product that you will love!  If for some reason you don't love it, you may return any eligible item within 30-days of delivery. We stand  by our products, so if your order is received defective, missing parts or damaged, we are here to assist right away. We also ask all customers to please be aware that, due to the nature of the products available on The Spotted Door, many of the items are one-of-a-kind in nature and may not exactly match the color or texture of the product displayed in the product images onsite. Please contact us to submit your request (include order # and reason for return).

  • Returned items must be in the same condition (unused, unmodified) as they were received. Items only partially returned will not be accepted and no refund or credit will be issued.
  • We will issue a credit back to you within 7-days of the item being received. You will be refunded the merchandise value less the return shipping cost (which is not necessarily the same as the order's original shipping cost).
  • Special orders or gift cards cannot be returned. Non-returnable items will be clearly indicated as non-returnable so you are made aware prior to ordering.
  • If you wish to cancel your order, please keep in mind that we are unable to cancel any specific item(s) or entire orders that have already shipped.
Do you ship internationally?

We do not currently offer international shipping, though please contact us if you would like an exact quote to ship an item outside the U.S.

How is shipping calculated?

The shipping charge for your order is available at checkout for your review. It is based on (i) where your package is being delivered to; (ii) the delivery method you choose; and (iii) the weight, dimensions and overall size of the item(s).

How are large items delivered?

All products that require delivery via a freight carrier (furniture items primarily) will be delivered curbside: you will then be responsible for moving the item(s) into your home or business. We are glad to provide special rates for inside white-glove delivery upon request. Please inspect the item(s) at the time of delivery for any damage: if any damage exists, please make note of that with the delivery person.

When can I expect my order?

Your order will be shipped using the fastest, most reliable method available. Most orders ship within 1-3 business days, while larger items (furniture primarily) ship within 1-10 business days. Some items may require a longer lead time: the estimated delivery time will be listed on the item page for these items.

How can I track my order?

You may track your order by logging into your account or directly on the carrier's website using the tracking # provided.
